NRI Real Estate Power of Attorney

NRIs in North Texas use a power of attorney to give a trusted family member or agent the authority to handle property transactions back home. We notarize the POA and coordinate the apostille or consular attestation so it's accepted in India or Pakistan.

Who this is for

When you need a POA notarized in Texas

  • You own ancestral or inherited property in India or Pakistan
  • You're selling, buying, or transferring property and can't travel
  • You're authorizing a sibling or parent to manage tenancy or rent
  • You're handling a partition, sale deed, or registration remotely
  • You need bank or tax filings handled by an in-country representative
  • You're an heir managing estate distribution from abroad
What we do
  • Notarize POA signatures (and witness signatures when required)
  • Coordinate the Texas Secretary of State apostille (India)
  • Route Pakistan POAs through the consular attestation chain
  • Verify identity with valid government photo ID
  • Return the executed and authenticated POA for forwarding to your agent abroad
What we don't do
  • ×Draft the POA itself. That's legal work; have your attorney or a qualified drafter prepare it
  • ×Advise on which powers to grant or how to structure the document
  • ×Translate the legal substance of the document
  • ×File the POA with the Indian or Pakistani sub-registrar. Your in-country agent handles registration
How it works

From signing to delivery

  1. 01

    Prepare the POA

Your attorney or drafter prepares the document with the powers you're granting. Bring it unsigned to the appointment.

  2. 02

    Notarize at home or office

We meet you in North Texas. Bring valid photo ID; if witnesses are required, have them present.

  3. 03

    Apostille or consular routing

India: Texas SOS apostille (7–10 business days, standard). Pakistan: full consular chain. We manage timing.

  4. 04

    Hand-off back to you

We return the executed and authenticated POA. You forward to your in-country agent for sub-registrar registration.

A note on registration requirements abroad

India and Pakistan have their own registration rules at the sub-registrar level, and requirements can vary by state, province, and the type of property transaction. Confirm with your in-country agent or attorney what additional steps may apply after the apostille or attestation is complete.
